The Only Evangelism That Works: Be An Imagebearer

Putting God First in Your Life

We try to put things first and add God in later.

But God doesn’t just want a place in your life.

He doesn’t just want to be prominent in your life.

He wants to be “preeminent!”

He says, you take care of my business, and I’ll take care of yours!

Reason’s people worry

The ignorant worry because they don’t know enough.
The knowledgeable worry because they know too much.
The rich worry because they are afraid of losing what they have.
The poor worry because they don’t have enough.
The old worry because they are facing death.
The young worry because they are facing life.

Come to SNL this week and lets talk about how to never worry again!

SNL This Week – Don’t Worry, Be Happy

Come this Sunday night December 6th, 2009  @ 6:30 and lets worship God together and then we will change the world together.

Ronnie

Matthew 6: 25-34

DON’T WORRY, BE HAPPY

In this Holiday Season there is so much worry going on. What gifts do we buy for those we love and what gift do we buy for that one we have to buy for and don’t like, lol.

How much money should we spend on that gift and will they really appreciate it anyway?

How much money should I spend on myself while I am buying all these nice things for everyone else?

Then the biggie – how am I ever going to pay for all of this, the credit cards, the layaway’s, the bills that I have run up tying to please, impress, and satisfy?

The truth is: We have it all wrong

We think to much about how much money to spend for all the wrong reasons. We think too much about how good I look or how fashionable I am . We think too much about buying gifts for everyone that we know. We think too much about how to be a people pleaser.

We have gotten it all wrong!

Come to Sunday Night Live, lets worship the Creator together and I will show you how to live a worry free life!

Ronnie

Matthew 6: 25-34 The Message

25-26“If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.

27-29“Has anyone by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? All this time and money wasted on fashion—do you think it makes that much difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them.

30-33“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

34“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.

Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them.

Marathon Memories – Virginia Creeper Trail March 30th, 2003

This is the 2nd Marathon I had ever done. I woke up that morning and it was snowing.
We called the race headquarters and asked if the Marathon would be canceled and they replied “Why”?
So we ran
! It was fun for the 1st 13.1 miles and pretty miserable the 2nd half, wet and soggy.

My 2nd Marathon was a memorable one. “A Freakish Snow”

I finished #30 out of 78 and ran with my good friends Tim Lewis and Rick Karampatsos.
