The Only Evangelism That Works: Be An Imagebearer

Book Review – Get Off Your “But”

“Pain was my teacher, and I became its good little student.”

Sean was born with almost every bone in his body broken. It was due to a bone disease that doctors said would probably take his life within 24 hours. However, with the writing of this book it is obvious that Sean lived and not only did he live, Sean is thriving in life. Being only 3 feet tall and confined to a wheel chair, Sean hasn’t let his disabilities stop him.

The first half of the book was great, it really detailed a lot of Sean’s life and the fact that he was determined to not only survive, he wanted to become a world changer and he has done that.

“I had always loved my life, amid all the pain. And—here’s the really important part—I realized that I was meant to teach others how to do the same.”

“If I could line up everyone who has doubted me, said I would never make it, and counted me out in life, the crowd would surely wrap to the moon and back.”

This is a book that is worth the read. There is a story here that will put all of us to shame who live life in generally good health and complain about it. We can do anything we set our minds to doing and Sean is living proof of this.

“The only thing that has ever held you back from having what you want in life is the size of your BUT.”

“Our BUTS are huge. And the longer we sit on them, the more they continue to grow!”

The title of the book speaks for itself. What are you letting stand in the way of what God has called you to do and be?
