Do Not Call: Are you tired of telemarketers?
This may be one of the best blogs that you will ever read. If you are tired of the telemarketing calls you can do something about it. It is my understanding that we are now going to start receiving these annoying calls on our cell phones and this web site is good for registering both home and cell phones. It only takes a minute to do several numbers.
Ronnie
National Do Not Call Registry
The National Do Not Call Registry is open for business, putting consumers in charge of the telemarketing calls they get at home. The Federal government created the national registry to make it easier and more efficient for you to stop getting telemarketing calls you don’t want. You can register online at WWW.DONOTCALL.GOVor call toll-free, 1-888-382-1222 (TTY 1-866-290-4236), from the number you wish to register. Registration is free.
The Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, and the states are enforcing the National Do Not Call Registry. Placing your number on the registry will stop most, but not all, telemarketing calls.
This site has information for you – whether you’re a consumer interested in signing up for the National Do Not Call Registry, or a telemarketer or seller interested in learning more about your responsibilities related to the Telemarketing Sales Rule.
Baby Collins at Week #6
Now, I believe that we are about 6 weeks along in the pregnancy and Misty thinks it is a shorter period of time than that. We won’t know for absolute sure until the baby is born and then maybe we won’t know for sure either. Anyway, here is what the baby will look like at 6 weeks and this is from the Baby Center.
Ronnie
Your pregnancy: 6 weeks
How your baby’s growing: This week’s major developments: The nose, mouth, and ears that you’ll spend so much time kissing in eight months are beginning to take shape. If you could see into your uterus, you’d find an oversize head and dark spots where your baby’s eyes and nostrils are starting to form. His emerging ears are marked by small depressions on the sides of the head, and his arms and legs by protruding buds. His heart is beating about 100 to 160 times a minute — almost twice as fast as yours — and blood is beginning to course through his body. His intestines are developing, and the bud of tissue that will give rise to his lungs has appeared. His pituitary gland is forming, as are the rest of his brain, muscles, and bones. Right now, your baby is a quarter of an inch long, about the size of a lentil bean.
See what’s going on in your uterus this week.
Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby’s development.
How your life’s changing: You may find yourself developing a bit of a split personality — feeling moody one day and joyful the next. Unsettling as this is (especially if you pride yourself on being in control), what you’re going through is normal. Ricocheting emotions are caused partly by fluctuating hormones. But hormones aside, your life is about to change in a big way — and who wouldn’t feel emotional about that?
Spotting or bleeding is relatively common in early pregnancy, affecting up to a quarter of pregnant women. It may occur in a normal pregnancy, but sometimes it can be the first sign of miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy. If you have any spotting or bleeding, call your provider.

Surprising Facts: Could it be twins?
Sure, twins run in families and you’re more likely to be carrying multiples if you’ve undergone fertility treatments, but any woman can become pregnant with more than one baby. Could you be one of them?
Your odds of carrying twins
Overall, about one in 31 births (greater than 3 percent) are twin births. But your chances of having twins are much less — 1 in 89 — if you conceive without medical assistance. The overall odds of bearing triplets or higher-order multiples is about 1 in 565.
- Identical twins usually happen by chance. Your likelihood of having identical, or monozygotic, twins (when one fertilized egg divides in half) is about 1 in 250.
- A number of factors affect your odds of having fraternal twins or higher-order multiples. Fertility treatments dramatically increase your odds. On average, 20 to 25 percent of women who take fertility drugs or undergo in vitro fertilization or other assisted reproductive techniques end up carrying more than one baby.
Other factors that influence the likelihood of having fraternal twins
Once you have a set of fraternal twins, you’re twice as likely to have another set in a future pregnancy.
- Fraternal twins run in families, so if you’re a twin or related to twins, you’re more likely to have a set yourself. Your partner’s family history doesn’t appear to affect your odds of having twins.
- The older you are, the greater your chances of having naturally occurring fraternal twins or higher-order multiples. Hormonal changes in older women are a likely cause.
- Fraternal twins are more common than average in African Americans and less common in Hispanics and Asians.
- The more pregnancies you’ve had, the greater your chances of having twins.
- Twins are more common in large and tall women than in small women.
When you’ll find out whether you’re carrying twins
These days, women typically discover they’re having more than one baby during an ultrasound, often in the first trimester. If you opt for first-trimester genetic screening, you’ll have an ultrasound between 11 and 13 weeks. If you’re pregnant as a result of a fertility treatment, you’ll probably have an earlier ultrasound, usually within the first eight weeks to count the number of embryos that have implanted. Your practitioner also will recommend an ultrasound if your uterus is larger than would be expected given the number of weeks since your last period. Ultrasound is almost foolproof at revealing multiple pregnancies, particularly after six to eight weeks. However, the more babies you’re carrying, the easier it is for one to get overlooked.
- Fertility treatments dramatically increase your odds of having fraternal twins and higher-order multiples. Do you have twins or multiples thanks to fertility treatments?

If John Wesley were alive today he would be a blogger
As I was writing “what is a blog”? I had an idea. John Wesley in his time was the equivalent to a blogger in 2008. If Wesley were alive today I have no doubt that he would use this media to get his message across.
I wish that I had the time, I have a great idea that would help us to get to know Wesley. I will work on the idea and then let you know what I come up with.
Anyway, at SNL tonight we talked about the commendation and the correction that the Church at Ephesus received in the Book of Revelation. They were a group of people who worked hard and stood for what was right and at the same time they had left their first love. remember they left, God never walked away.
Start Monday morning off right and spend time with our Father. What an awesome way to spend the first part of the day, with the One who made us and knows and loves us better than anyone we know.

Scripture for SNL September 28th
What is God saying to FUMC Hillsville through this passage?
Revelation 2: 1-7
The Message to the Church in Ephesus
“Write this letter to the angel of the church in Ephesus. This is the message from the one who holds the seven stars in his right hand, the one who walks among the seven gold lampstands:
2 “I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you don’t tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not. You have discovered they are liars. 3 You have patiently suffered for me without quitting.
4 “But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first! 5 Look how far you have fallen! Turn back to me and do the works you did at first. If you don’t repent, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches. 6 But this is in your favor: You hate the evil deeds of the Nicolaitans, just as I do.
7 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God.
Mason King and Kieleigh

Our goal, as a church, is to be a refuge…
a place of love and acceptance for all.
COME, to “FIRST LIGHT“ our early morning worship service this Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Two of our youth, Mason King and Kileigh Smith will be with us for our special music. Mason plays the guitar for SouledOut and Kileigh plays the piano and sings. They are both 16 years old and are in the 11th grade at CCHS. They will share a beautiful song, “You Are My All in All” with us. How proud we are that our youth are not ashamed to stand up and praise our God.
We look forward to seeing everyone at “First Light” and encourage you to stay for coffee and doughnuts, “The Gathering“, in the fellowship hall.

Third Annual Carl Harmon Memorial Poker Run to he held Sept. 27
By Allen Worrell, News Writer
All proceeds from the event will go to the Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department and the Hillsville Police Department. Harmon was a life-time member of the Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department and he served for more than 25 years with the fire department and the Hillsville Police Department. Last year’s event raised $1,000 to be split between the two local agencies.
“I just want to let everybody know how much we appreciate their support. He just meant so much to everybody and he was constantly giving back to the community,” Harmon’s wife, Brenda, said. “Everybody still misses him. Hardly a days goes by that somebody doesn’t mention him. I just know he would be happy with this because it helps the Hillsville Police Department and the Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department.”
Former colleagues of Carl Harmon’s fondly remember his time serving the community. Hillsville Police Chief Steve Williams said Harmon would be proud of the Memorial Poker Run.
Current HVFD member Don Yonce said he enjoyed serving with Harmon for about 15 years on the fire department
“He was a real good firefighter and just an all-around good person,” Yonce said.
Earl Rhea Jett worked with Harmon on the fire department and through the Town of Hillsville. He said the event is a good way to keep Harmon’s memory alive.
“He was just the type of person that was always reaching out to help somebody. He just had a big heart. I think that is the reason he did such a good job with the fire department and the police department, his concern for other people,” Jett said. “I still remember the fire we had where he worked at the post office and saved that person’s life before the fire department got there. That was just the type person he was.”
Registration for the poker run will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Hillsville Fire Department. The ride will begin at 10 a.m. at the Hillsville Fire Department and end there as well. Cost is $15 per hand for five cards, or $20 per couple. Prizes will be awarded of $100 for the best hand and $50 for the worst hand. H&H BBQ will cater the event and live music will be provided.
There will also be a 50-50 drawing and lots of door prizes. All bikes are welcome.
For further information, contact Brenda Harmon at (276) 733-9514.

Shortage of Blood
September 24, 2008
To Whom It May Concern:
Subj: Low Regional Blood Supply Inventory for American Red Cross
I have just received word from the American Red Cross – Appalachian Blood Region in Roanoke, VA, indicating that the regional blood supply is less than one day for 4 of the blood types: Types A+, B+, O- and B-. Types O+, A- and AB- are in supply barely over the single day’s need. This is not a good situation as the Red Cross has a goal to maintain a 5-day supply and is “generally satisfied” as long as the supply is 3 days or more.
Because of this dramatic shortage, the Red Cross has asked me to contact local civic leaders to solicit support of the groups they may have contact with to encourage the public to support their local blood drives.
The next four blood drives in Hillsville are:
Monday, September 29th at VFW Post 1115: 11 AM to 5 PM
Saturday, October 25th at First United Methodist Church: 10 AM to 4 PM
Monday, November 24th at VFW Post 1115: 11 AM to 5 PM
Saturday, December 27th at First United Methodist Church: 10 AM to 4 PM
Please distribute this information to your constituents and help your community and our region in this time of need.
Please contact me if you have any questions or have any suggestion as to how we can promote or increase donations in our community.
Thank you!

Good Dog, Great Story
Good dog.
A German shepherd has been credited with saving its owner by placing a call to 911, according to a Sept. 13 story in the Arizona Republic.
Scottsdale police say a service dog named Buddy dialed emergency dispatch when his owner Joe Stalnaker began to have a seizure. Stalnaker’s condition resulted from injuries he received during military service.
He adopted Buddy as an 8-week-old puppy and trained him to retrieve the phone when seizure symptoms manifest. If Stalnaker has blacked out or cannot place the call himself, Buddy uses his teeth to press programmed buttons until a 911 operator is on the line.
Buddy, now 18 months old, can be heard whimpering in an audio recording of the 911 call. Emergency responders arrived at the home about two minutes later.
“Buddy, he basically gives me my independence,” Stalnaker says. “He’s my world. He’s my best friend, no question. He’s always there, and I just hope I can be as good to him as he’s been to me.”

On Children by Kahlil Gibran
On Children
Kahlil GibranYour children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday. You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let our bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.
We’re having a baby, my baby and me!

Following God Through The Bible: The Book of Ephesians
Last night at 10pm I remembered that our Men’s Group started Bible Study this morning at 6:30am. I looked at Misty after a day of shopping for clothes for Kyle and spending time with the family and I said, “oh no” I am so tired and now I don’t want to get out of bed at 5:20am in the morning. However, when I went to bed I set the alarm for 5:20am. I slept good and even woke up a couple of minutes before the alarm went off.
I was reminded real soon after getting to the church why it is that I like the UMM Bible Studies so much. It is so hard as a Pastor to come on Sunday Mornings and be Spiritually fed, some may disagree. If someone disagrees they would have to be a pastor first to know what it is like. On most Sunday mornings I arrive at the church between 7 & 8am to get ready for the 8:30am service, many times I will get here much earlier if I am preaching that morning. By the time I get into the service on most Sundays I have dealt with so many things that it is hard for me to do anything other than focus on making this a meaningful worship experience for the congregation and to be honest by the end of the day I am exhausted.
This Bible Study is where I come to get fed, to get sermon ideas and illustrations. This Bible Study is where I come to be Spiritually fed. It never fails that I get sermon ideas from what we discuss in the time together. It never fails that I hear God speak to me and this morning I could hear His voice so clearly.
We started a new study this morning, “The Book of Ephesians”by Eddie Rasnake.
I just want to share a couple of things that God spoke to me about this morning. Paul is the author of Ephesians and most likely wrote 13 books or Letters in the New Testament. This is the first thing that God spoke to me about. It is amazing and mind boggling to me that Paul wrote this letter to the Ephesian Church 2000 years ago and still today, millions of people, all over the World are being impacted by his words. Paul still speaks from the grave. I thought about the fact on Saturday at Camp, Brandon said that he likes to write. Wouldn’t it be awesome if people are reading Brandon’s writings in 2000 years. I would be honored if I could impact people today with my writing and oh how I would like to speak on behalf of God and be quoted in 2000 years. We need to sit up and take note of what Paul has to say if people are still reading it and being impacted all these years later and to beat all, all these Countries of the World that are impacted. Wow
I want to be known as a “Student of the Word”. I know that may sound cliche but I really mean that. I believe this study is going to make me a student of Ephesians as we will be immersed in it for the next 24 weeks. Paul was a student of Gamaliel, in that day people would hang out with a Rabbi and they became a student of that person. There was a saying in that day “covered in the dust of the Rabbi”, they would follow the Rabbi around learning from them and the roads were dusty. That was a very great honor to be covered with dust from the one you are learning from.
One last thing that I will say about the study guide, I love the APPLY Sections throughout the book. I just finished reading “Out of the Box and Loving it” by Todd Shaw and one of the quotes that I will always remember is “Information without Application leads to Frustration”. This is so true. We come to church, Bible Study, Men’s meetings, Youth Meeting and we get so much information but if we never apply it to life it just leads to frustration. Application is the key to knowledge.
We will meet again Tuesday morning October 7th@ 6:30am. There are Study Guides here and all men are invited. You do not have t be a member of this church to come and grow and fellowship with others and learn to walk closer with our Lord in the Bible Study. If you are interested let me know and we will set a study guide aside for you.
Blessings and I hope you are dusty from the dust of Jesus the Ultimate Rabbi.

Baby on Board, Again!
On Sunday evening we learned that Misty is Pregnant. We shared the news with our parents and other children and then I started dropping hints on Facebook and here on the blog. Several people figured it out but not everybody has. I think this should put the icing on the cake. We have said since Samuel was born and given my dad’s middle name as well as mine, Christopher’s and Seth’s that we would name the next son after Misty’s dad. We have decided that if the baby is a boy we will call him Judah Wayne Collins, we are not sure what a little girls name will be. It would be great if we were to have twins or triplet’s, then we could have lots of fun with names. I would like to name a son Israel, Misty is not so keen on that idea as I am.
Anyway, we are unsure of the exact number of weeks and we don’t have a Doctor appointment until mid October. Please join us in prayer for a healthy baby or babies and that is all that we ask.
Blessings
Ronnie
Guess What!
Your pregnancy: 5 weeks
How your baby’s growing:
Deep in your uterus your embryo is growing at a furious pace. At this point, he’s about the size of a sesame seed, and he looks more like a tiny tadpole than a human. He’s now made up of three layers — the ectoderm, the mesoderm, and the endoderm — which will later form all of his organs and tissues.
The neural tube — from which your baby’s brain, spinal cord, nerves, and backbone will sprout — is starting to develop in the top layer, called the ectoderm. This layer will also give rise to his skin, hair, nails, mammary and sweat glands, and tooth enamel.
His heart and circulatory system begin to form in the middle layer, or mesoderm. (This week, in fact, his tiny heart begins to divide into chambers and beat and pump blood.) The mesoderm will also form your baby’s muscles, cartilage, bone, and subcutaneous (under skin) tissue.
The third layer, or endoderm, will house his lungs, intestines, and rudimentary urinary system, as well as his thyroid, liver, and pancreas. In the meantime, the primitive placenta and umbilical cord, which deliver nourishment and oxygen to your baby, are already on the job.
See what’s going on in your uterus this week.
Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby’s development.
How your life’s changing:
You may notice some pregnancy-related discomforts already. Many women report sore breasts, fatigue, and frequent urination starting in the early weeks. You may also have nausea, though it’s more likely to show up in the coming weeks.
The outside world won’t see any sign of the dramatic developments taking place inside you — except that you’re turning down that glass of wine with dinner, perhaps. It’s important to avoid alcohol throughout your pregnancy since no one knows exactly how much — or how little — alcohol can harm a developing baby.
You’ll also want to continue or start an exercise routine. Exercise helps you develop the strength and endurance you’ll need to manage the extra weight you’ll be carrying. It may help prevent some of the aches and pains of pregnancy, and many women find that it’s a great stress-reducer. Exercise can also help you get ready for the physical rigors of labor.
Finally, it’s easier to bounce back after you give birth if you’ve continued some form of exercise throughout pregnancy. Choose a safe, moderately vigorous activity you enjoy. Walking and swimming are fine choices for pregnant women.
Dads, there are plenty of ways to participate in your partner’s pregnancy — even this early in the game. Check out these great tips on how to get involved.
Surprising Facts: Safety tips for a healthy pregnancy
These early months of pregnancy are a critical time for your baby’s development. Taking a few key steps now can help protect your baby’s health and your own. (Read our complete list of steps for a healthy pregnancy.)
Get early prenatal care and keep up with your appointments. Good prenatal care is essential to your baby’s health — and to yours. At your first prenatal visit (usually around eight weeks) you’ll be screened for certain conditions that could lead to complications. If you haven’t yet chosen a caregiver and set up an appointment, make it a priority now.
Take your prenatal vitamin. Most prenatal supplements contain more folic acid, iron, and calcium than you’ll find in a standard multivitamin. Pregnant women need more of these nutrients. (Don’t overdo the vitamins, though; more is not necessarily better and in some cases can even be dangerous.)
It’s particularly critical to get enough folic acid while trying to conceive and during your first trimester because it greatly reduces your baby’s risk of developing neural tube birth defects such as spina bifida.
Consult your caregiver about the medications you’re taking. Many drugs — even some over-the-counter ones — aren’t safe during pregnancy. If you take any medications to treat a chronic condition, don’t stop them cold turkey but call your caregiver right away to go through your medication list and find out what’s safe and what’s not. Mention everything, even supplements and herbs.
Stop smoking. Smoking increases your risk of a host of problems, including miscarriage, placental problems, and preterm birth. It also slows fetal growth and increases the risk of stillbirth and infant death. Some research has even linked smoking to an increased risk of having a baby with a cleft lip or palate.
It’s never too late to quit or cut back. Every cigarette you don’t light gives your baby a better chance of being healthy. For help, visit BabyCenter’s quitting smoking during pregnancy area.
Stop drinking alcohol. As little as one drink a day can increase the odds of low birth weight and raise your child’s risk for problems with learning, speech, attention span, language, and hyperactivity. No one knows exactly how harmful even the smallest amount of alcohol may be to a developing baby, so skip the booze altogether.
Make sure your home and job are safe. Some jobs or hobbies can be hazardous to you and your developing baby. If you’re routinely exposed to chemicals, heavy metals (like lead or mercury), certain biologic agents, or radiation, you’ll need to make some changes as soon as possible.
Keep in mind that some cleaning products, pesticides, solvents, and lead in drinking water from old pipes can also be harmful. Talk to your doctor or midwife about what your daily routine involves, so you can come up with ways to avoid or eliminate hazards in your home and workplace.
This Week’s Activity:
Choose a doctor or midwife and schedule an appointment. To prepare, jot down the first day of your last period (so she can determine your due date) and start making a list of any questions that arise.
Talk to relatives on both sides about your families’ medical histories. Your caregiver will want to know whether any chronic conditions or genetic abnormalities run in either of your families.
Confused about our timing? We begin our pregnancy calculations from the first day of your last period, as most healthcare practitioners do. So by the time you get a positive pregnancy test (about 3 weeks after fertilization), you’re considered to be 5 weeks pregnant.
Salem Lake 30K & 10K Results
Well, we did it. We debated all week if we were going to run the 18.6 miles or the 6.2 miles. I even got up on Saturday morning at 6am and called Dustin hoping that he would say he wanted to just run the 10K and he was leaning that way. I then asked him to call Kenneth to see how he was feeling and Kenneth was determined that we were going to stick to the 18.6 miles. I have to be honest and say that if it were not for Kenneth and Dustin I would have run the 6.2 but I am really glad that they held me accountable. For the past few years I have run the Salem Lake 10K and stood at the finish wishing I had done the 30K but not this time.
Dustin, Kenneth and I ran together for the first 14 miles and then Dustin pulled away, Kenneth and I ran together to the 15.5 mile and I stoped for a bathroom break. I probably shouldn’t have but I just felt like I had to take a break, I wanted so bad to finish without walking even one step. After stopping I felt pretty good but the next 3 miles I went back and forth from running to walking. I really never set a goal finish time but had hopes of being around 3 hours and I made it. I felt great, even after 13 miles (half marthon distance) I still felt great. I have run seven 26.2 mile Marathons in the past and I have never been sick after a race until this one. I have always preached to Dustin, “don’t do anything different in a race that you are not doing in training” and I did different. I never train with anything except water and yesterday I took an energy gel and some carbo beans. I am not certain these are what made me sick but something sure did. Anyone passing our vehicle on the Interstate had a show and it wasn’t pretty. I had problems with cramping after that but it wasn’t so bad. I was able to sleep a couple of hours and then went to Camp Dickenson to have dinner and speak for a few minutes.
I can’t wait for the Half Marathon in Mt. Airy November 1st and then the Myrtle Beach Marathon in February 2009.
I would love to share the entire results page but it is long so I will include the link here. http://www.twincitytc.org/RaceInformation/Results/tabid/67/Default.aspx

We go through life and wonder just what will happen to me when I die. Is there any assurance that I will have a place in Heaven when that time comes. So many people that I talk to say they just wish they could know for sure.
Well you can know for sure, God never intended for you to wonder for very long. Follow this link, it will only take a few short moments and it concerns the most important part of your life, ETERNITY.

History
In 1908, Ernestine Reuter was granted a permit to build a one-level diner at 201 F Street NE. The estimated cost of construction was $2,000. The diner originally served “butter and eggs” to the Union Station travelers before food service was available on the trains.
After nearly twenty-five years of neglect, National Community Church purchased 201 F Street NE on February 7, 2002. The property was successfully rezoned from residential to commercial use in January 2003. Architectural plans were approved by the Historic Preservation Review Board in February 2004. Construction began December 2004 and we opened our doors March 15, 2006.
Something that bothers me about multi tasking
I am a multi tasker, I typically read a book and watch television at the same time. I will work on sending e-mails, updating a blog and checking facebook and myspace all at the same time. Of course I have to go back and forth but that is part of multi tasking. By the way, I am usually studying while doing all these things as well.
We live in a society that really demands multi tasking. In today’s world of cell phones, e-mail, blackberry’s, facebook, myspace and now twitter, we either have to do a lot of things together or just miss out. I have learned to do all of these things and to be honest it is quite a lot to keep up with but there has to be some system with the chaos.
Typically on my day off I will keep my cell phone with me unless I am running and it just isn’t convenient to run with a cell phone and I don’t need the distraction either (I am running on the highway and need to watch for cars). I usually will check myspace and facebook a couple of times a day and I will go to my blog on a regular basis as I have thoughts and start a blog. Many times I save what I am doing until I have time to do more of the detail.
At the same time I have to keep office hours, study for sermons every Sunday night, lessons every Wednesday night and most weeks I have other speaking engagements that I am responsible to fulfill. I do these things and I love it as well as my favorite thing, spending time with my family.
Here is what bothers me about the multi tasking world. It is the people who never answer e-mails, never return phone calls and never update a blog. If you are going to have these things and put them out there for people to contact you, please return the messages. I have patience with individuals but I don’t believe that as professionals in the church or the secular world we have any excuse. If we can’t update a blog, don’t have one because people will get frustrated and not bother checking it. If you have voice mail and have no intention of returning the calls then say so in your greeting. If you offer e-mail as a way of contact and can’t return them then take the e-mail down.
Anyway there is my soapbox for the day. I just believe that people are counting on us and we offer them way to contact us, we should be quick to respond.
Blessings
